Welcome to Flowchase, an EdTech startup based in Louvain-la-Neuve and Brussels, Belgium! 🇧🇪
We're on a mission to revolutionise the way English is taught, particularly when it comes to pronunciation and speaking skills. Our ultimate goal? Empowering learners to speak confidently and clearly, opening up a world of international employment opportunities for them.
Our journey began as a research project at Université catholique de Louvain. Our founders Robin and Zoé, along with a team of language teachers and voice engineers, developed a tool based on Second Language Acquisition (SLA) research.

Determined to address this issue, we set out to develop a tool that would bring pronunciation and spoken skills back into the forefront of the classroom. To make this possible, we've brought together a diverse team of individuals passionate about programming, AI, linguistics, music, art, specialty coffee, and feminism.

Zoé, our CEO
Zoé, one of our founders, has a unique perspective on the challenges faced by language learners. Having studied and worked in Australia for six years, she saw firsthand how international students struggled to gain confidence in their spoken English. Many missed out on valuable opportunities due to their inability to express themselves effectively during job interviews or in professional settings.
After successful testing, we secured funding in 2020 and launched our mobile app in 2021. We now have 24 institutional clients, thousands of students, and expanded to other countries. But our journey doesn't end here. We recently secured our second round of fundraising in April 2023, providing us with the resources to take the next big leap forward.

Je suis heureuse d’avoir eu la chance de collaborer avec une équipe professionnelle, dynamique et chaleureuse durant mon stage de Master 2 en Sciences de l’Education. En plus d’un très bel accueil et d’un accompagnement de qualité tout au long de cette année, Flowchase m’a offert plusieurs possibilités afin de me développer professionnellement et personnellement. J’ai eu l’opportunité de participer à Ludovia, de discuter de la place de la prononciation au sein du cours de langue avec des étudiants de l’Université Versailles Saint-Quentin et de présenter les résultats de ma recherche à l’EUROCALL 2023. Cette expérience très enrichissante ne fait que me conforter dans l’idée de vous inciter à rejoindre cette équipe soudée !
